About Us
Dubbo Radio Cabs Operates in the Dubbo Area and on occasion surrounding towns. We have 25 Taxi’s in our network that are privately owned and operated under a Bailee system. As a Bailee you will be engaged by the owner. Dubbo Radio Cabs Administration Office role is to administer the on-boarding process and advise the private owners of your contact details. We cannot guarantee that you will receive Taxi Driving position.
To be eligible to apply for an Authority to Drive a Taxi Cab you must:
- have held an unrestricted driver licence issued in any Australian state or territory, for a total of at least 12 months in the previous 2 years;
- are an Australian or New Zealand Citizen, permanent resident, or hold a visa allowing you to work in Australia;
- are at least 20 years old;
- are medically fit to drive a Passenger Transport Vehicle. To apply download the Aapplication for a Passenger Transport Licence Code

- Have no criminal or serious driving offences
To become a Bailee driver with the Dubbo Taxi network:
- Please email the office at admin@dubbotaxis.com.au, to advise your name, best contact number, and your driving/work history plus a copy of your driver licence. This information will be passed onto owners.
- An owner of a Taxi will contact you and arrange a meeting and give you the onboarding application form.
- Please direct any questions to the owner/trainer.
- All paperwork is to be given to owner/trainer.

Preparing for your knowledge test
Dubbo Radio Cabs prides itself on the fact that a passenger can get into a vehicle and know where to go without the use of maps. While you are waiting to get trained, we recommend that you become familiar with the Dubbo Area.
